The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ARN) is the institution of the Argentine State devoted to the control and regulation of nuclear activities.
We are an autonomous entity within the jurisdiction of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Nation, created in 1997 by the National Nuclear Activity Act (No. 24 804).
Our mission is to protect people, the environment and future generations from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation. Our main objective is establishing, developing and implementing a regulatory regime for all nuclear activities carried out in Argentina.
